Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Communications
Karl joined SMART as Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Communications in January 2019. He brings nearly 30 years’ experience in technology, corporate development, equity research, and M&A with vast knowledge in strategic leadership and identifying high growth technology solutions. With his understanding of tactical implementation, negotiation, and problem solving, Karl’s focus is on expanding SMART’s business and partnership efforts to increase revenues, profits, and shareholder value.
Karl began his career in the semiconductor industry in various sales and sales management roles, before taking his talents and experience to equity research, where he became a leading Wall Street analyst. Karl then joined Spansion, Inc.’s management team, where he led efforts in the company’s growth strategy through M&A and licensing. Most recently, Karl was at Adesto Technologies, where he worked closely with the leadership team on the company’s non-organic growth strategy. Karl graduated with a BA in Business Administration, Marketing from the Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
